Yes I used, but near the grapple point the darkness was absolute. This wasn't the first time I experimented this problem, and I don't believe this happened only to me.

After a long absence, I am "back in orbit" again. (Last complete mission I flew was STS-93.)
In preparation of the two "satellite-catching" missions STS-51A and STS-32, I reflew STS-41C for practice and to familiarise myself with the LDEF-1 again.
Yesterday, I completed STS-51A. Very interesting and challenging mission! (Probably one of the most challenging, so far, but I haven't flown STS-98 yet...)
Now, I just landed at EAFB with the LDEF-1 on board, completing STS-32 as well.

On to STS-98 and 124....

STS-32 completed, a bit difficult but very nice.
Please confirm my STS-41C, not inserted yet.
My proof:

STS-51A Great Mission. That and STS-98 are great challenges.
I loved the new cloud coverage on landing.
And have you always had 3d VAB and other utilities at landing and launch?
I might just not of ever noticed. :)
