In January of 2004 president Bush announced his vision for space exploration Here the
goals:

1. Complete the International space station by 2010.

2. Retire the space shuttle by 2010.

3. Begin manned flights of the Crew Exploration Vehicle no later than 2015.

4. Manned flights to the Moon by 2020, establish a permanent human presence by 2024.

5. Begin manned flights to Mars no earlier than 2037.

Now only a year and a few months from the first Ares 1 test flight Ares 1-X scheduled for NET April 15, 2009 to put Bush's plan in place.

Ares 1-Crew launch vehicle.

Altair-Lunar Surface Access Module.

Orion-Crew Exploration Vehicle.

NASA Begins Testing of Engine That Will Power Ares Rockets


    On Dec. 18, NASA began testing core components of a rocket engine from the Apollo era on the A-1 Test Stand at NASA's John C. Stennis Space Center near Bay St. Louis, Miss. Data from the tests will help NASA build the next generation engine that will power the nation's new Ares launch vehicles on voyages that will send humans to the moon.

WOW i just figured out that i will be 44 when that time comes . Well screw that idea . Maby i can go to the moon instead? Who knows maby we will have a big boom in tecnology and go to mars in 2025. That would be kelw.

Rocket-man, Neil was only 5 years younger when he first set foot on the the moon.
So, if you really got what it takes, work hard, study hard, and have tons of luck... then who knows?

Well, I'm currently studying in the hopes of becoming an astronaut (or at least an aeronautical researcher) as well,
so I did a lot of research on the subject
If I don't become one, no problem, I can still do whatever I want with my studies,
I think that's the most important thing of all.

Choose something you like to do, and see if you can use it to become an astronaut as well.
I'm currently studying to become an MD, and I'd like to study as an engineer after that...
But we'll see, we'll see
