I say that if something has been given to a person with no further comment how to handle it, it is like a gift and it changes its ownership. From then on the new owner can do whatever he likes to do with it.
I think NASA has other problems than to make such a fuss of it.

I think that even if NASA has a case - TECHNICALLY speaking, they should let go in most of the cases.
I feel that some bored lawyers have too much free time on their hands, and are in a bad need for some publicity.

Its like that whole debacle with zero-g Coke and Pepsi cans flying on the Space Shuttle. Lawyers in space....now that is a scary movie right there.
