Hi, guys!

I wanted to ask you, do you guys know what kind of new functions will the cockpit in SSMS2 will have which the SSM2007 don't have like open/close circuit breakers, working cryogenic meters on Panel O2, ect.? Thanks!

                  Cheers,

Is it known yet whether or not if it will run on Windows XP?

Hi, Fenderf4i!

I think the SSMS 2 will only run on windows vista and windows 7. Since the new computers will no longer have windows XP installed, the chances are pretty slim the SSMS 2 will run on windows XP.

The fact that XP will not longer be pre-installed on newer PC's does not necessarily mean that SSM2 won't run on XP.

I think this question can only be answered by Admin.  Smiley

And as usual, it is too early to commit to anything at this point, but one thing is sure: we won't take specific steps to make it incompatible with Win XP. If eventually it becomes incompatible with Win XP, that will happen only if we have no choice.

Nice video! I have a question though: While the graphics have been updated, is there going to be updates on the technical side of the sim like procedures, systems simulation and orbital mechanics and overall level of difficulty, (I remember once there was talk about implementing some sort of master mode with no dumbing down of any of the systems/orbital dynamics, any word on that? Looking very good so far!

We'll touch everything that we can without pushing the release into the next century. As for the so-called "master mode", yes, there was a request/question, but no official commitment or otherwise was issued. The current features set is locked, but we cannot comment on all the features which made it through just yet. Following our forum, or Twitter and Facebook official announcements is the best way to know what happens with SSMS2.

The Beta will not be public. It will be tested and reviewed exclusively by the Beta Testing Team.

That's not reassuring... I don't really want to buy a new graphics card. Fingers crossed no new graphics issues that I'm not already putting up with in ssms2007. Sad

We cannot make any promises for things which are not under our control. Sorry. We're not even insisting on the latest version of OpenGL - that's about all we can do to increase the chance that the occasional AMD driver bugs are killed for good.

I think that this issue should be taken to AMD which supposedly promises full OpenGL compatibility and support, bugs notwithstanding.
