Saved Games Directory
« on: March 06, 2013, 02:49:23 PM »
Hello,

can anybody tell me in which directory SSM2007 stores the saved games which I can create during my missions?

I have been looking everywhere but haven't found nothing!?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Usually you find it under Program Files -> SpaceShuttleMission2007 -> data -> saves.
Then there are folders which are numbered 1 through 5, one for every user slot in the game. I call them user folders.
Open one of them, user folder 1 for example. In this folder, you will find more numbered folders, which I call mission folder.
Here the folder number corresponds to the sequence number in which the missions had actually be flown in reality. So, STS-1 was the first mission ever, therefore it's mission folder is 1, STS-41A was the 11th mission ever, so its mission folder is 11, STS-88 was the 93rd mission, so it's folder 93, etc.
Open one of the mission folders and you will find files which are named "save0" through "save13" which are the actual savegame files. save0 to save 12 are the regular savegame slots, save13 is the quicksave.

Mission folders and savegame files are only created, if you have actually saved a savegame in that mission. For example, if you have flown STS-88, but never saved a situation, then there will be no mission folder 93. Also, if you have flown STS-31 for example, but only saved a situation in the first slot and used quicksave a few times, then you will only find save0 and save13 in mission folder 35.
