Lunar Advertising

Apparently, a company is trying to sell advertising on the moon. Using robots that create small shadow-capturing ridges, they're hoping to allow companies on Earth to put advertisements on the moon visible from Earth through telescopes.

Personally, I think this is a horrible idea and that the moon's beauty should be left alone. I don't wanna look at the moon through a telescope and see "Drink Coca Cola!"

Any other thoughts/opinions/vehement criticism?

Even if this is a scam, or if that company never actually makes it to the moon (Either is very likely), what if once travel to the moon becomes more common-place, advertising like this actually happens? >_> I could easily see a big company like McDonalds or Coca Cola doing it. An advertisement visible to the majority of the world's population... What corporation wouldn't want that? <_<
