Hello there and say goodbye to the following: Sleep, family & friends (limited), restroom breaks, regular food intervals, real daylight, use of legs (in simulated space, who needs them!), sanity...

Get worried when you start thinking about SSM2007 every 10 seconds, you approximate real-life things to shuttle procedures, or you want to press Next Event at work :)

Hey, my name is brian.  I am 23, and a private pilot.  I work as a ground handler for a major airline (which shall remain unnamed).  I have always been enamored with space flight, so when I discovered ssm2007, I didn't even think before dropping the 50 bucks to buy it, and I'm glad I did!  I'm working on STS-41C right now, after having completed STS-1, STS-8, and STS-121 all on hard.  It definitely takes some learning, but I think it's a great sim!

Good morning all,

As a long time space junkie and flight sim addict, I've been waiting for many years for a realistic space simulation to come out. When Space Shuttle Mission debuted, I knew I would eventually jump on board. Now that I'm out for three weeks recuperating from some minor surgery, I saw no reason not to buy it. One word: Wow! I'm a sucker for procedures and immersion and Space Shuttle Mission is simply amazing in that regard. I was so wrapped up in it last night after installing it, I forogt to take my pain meds! That's what you call therapeutic.... To the developers I say thanks for an amazing sim that is the obvious product of a lot of hard work, dedication and attention to detail. Needless to say...my wife doesn't share my enthusiasm :)

Welcome on board. Don't forget to start STS-125 at 11:35 EDT from the T-1:50 point. Maybe it is a little too much to follow a launch live for a newcomer, but you can stop, load STS-125 at T-1 minute, pause and wait for 2:19:07 pm to unpause and follow NASA TV on a second computer or TV.

Welcome on board Brian and thank you for the warm words!

I am sad to hear that it took a surgery to get you here - LOL - and we all wish youba quick and complete recovery, though we have no real cure for your new addiction, and for the wife complications and side effects.

Make sure you explore all the resources here and on the associated websites (check the SSM on the web post in the Announcements board).

I am sure you'll find plenty of pain-killer material :)

Long time flight simmer, back to the subLogic days on an Apple 2, and long time user of Shuttle. I was actually born the same time Apollo 11 lifted off.

Tried out the demo a couple days ago, and bought the game that night.

Looking forward to seeing more of the missions get added as time goes by.

That's a great date to be born, Torgonius! I guess you had a great party during the 40 years to Apollo missions celebrations, eh?  8)

Hello Mister "Spock47",

Finally a Vulcan! Please fill in the Age Poll on the Polls board. As you see, we do have an upper limit of 300 years-old :)
