I have just finished STS-51A and what surprised me, compared to spaceboy pictures, is that I had a night landing.

I have not used Time skip during all the mission.

For people who finished this mission did you have day or night landing?

I think it has something to do with how fast (or slow) you finish the mission.
I've had one dusk landing, and one night landing. and If you actually select landing in the game you get late afternoon landing..

Is there a way to make landings 'on time'. If you're quick iot would land you on time regardless that you did it in record time. If you're slow you're notified that another day or so in orbit is needed?

Or have CAPCOM saying "Completed ahead of schedule" for each mission stage (e.g. End of an EVA, RMS Capture, etc). When your behind time, CAPCOM says, "Please could you pick up the pace" :)

That would be nice but I think it needs to be in the suggestion thread. ;)

Trying to repeat history, so here's the best I could do.

Had to work with the RMS and adjust Discovery's attitude a little to get it right, but its kinda close....right?

that same in picture the "real photo" is in my world history book! When I was scanning through the pages out of boredom, I caught sight of that, and I thought wow!

STS-51A is one tough mission. Only a few minutes ago, I successfully grappled the Palapa B2 satellite with the RMS arm (after moving it into position above the payload bay with EV-1), and I punched the air in triumph  :) I still have a lot to do to complete the mission, but that's one difficult job out of the way!
