While watching NASA's live broadcast of the deorbit and landing of STS-124 today and you push F1 or F and expect a view of STS-124.

When you follow the De-Orbit Burn exactly with a missions DoB, and land at the same time/place.  Wink

When after landing in the sim, you walk a ceremonial "once over" of your PC.  Grin

When you print your achievment page, cut out all the badges, make them into real badges, show them to your friends, and say "See? I really AM an astronaut!"

1) When approaching the roundabout, you stick 2 haridryers out the side of the car to gain air data
2) you circle the roundabout until you have slowed down enough to get into your driveway
3) you pull off into the correct street from the roundabout
4) you lower the wheels of your car to raise it up a few feet
5)you do a wheeli once you enter your home street
6) after a few seconds, you put the front of the car down
7) once you are at a safe spped, you apply the brakes and come to a stop right in front of the driveway
Cool after turning off the engine and spilling all the extra fual onto the road, you exit the car and do a final walkaround
9) a group of people soon tow your car into the garage and replace the outer skin and tires
10) you explain to your wife and kids why you are 5 hours late home

Then the next day, it happens all over again

TIR in 99$ no way..

NaturalPoint ship'em out in 179$ and you can fine an online cupone that will bring it down just a bit.. 160 maybe 150. but not under 100$ (and if there is let me know.. I'll take two Smiley)

[off topic]
Cheaper if you use Freetrack http://www.free-track.net/. But you've got to build your headset and have a decent Webcam (MicroSoft VX-100 is good and cheap). My setup cost less than $40 Smiley
[/off topic]

heh, I like these types of threads Smiley
- When you're using the hand brake in your car as the speedbrake when travelling down a step hill to work.
- When you've done more missions than most RL astronauts Smiley
- Changing the water filter in the kettle and comparing it to changing the lithium hydroxide absorbers in the mid-deck.

-when you install wings, and a large Fin on your Van!
-when you refer to your garage door as your payload bay door!
-when before you step out of the front door, you put on a heavy white robe as your space suit, and find a glass bowl to use as your helmet, and then you have to depressurize your front porch!

-wheb NASA won't let you in a real shuttle(you might be tempted to start up all the systems, and begin pre-launch sequences!)
