If you notice on the control panel while watching the view from mission control on nasa tv..what is that yellow-orange rectangle thing on all the panels? i can find no info on it just wondering.

Can you be a little more specific? Are you talking about the projector screens at MCC?

He is referring to the DVIS control panel that exist on all MCC consoles. DVIS is short for Digital Voice Interface System and allows a console operator to listen in and talk on multiple internal comm channels at once.
