Hello fellow Shuttle enthusiasts.
Since SSMS2007 actually isnt supported by systems above Windows XP 32-bit, and our support mail is constantly getting filled with the "Does it work on my.......system" questions we thought it would be neat if you could add your personal experience in the matter.
So please share any thoughts, tips or tricks needed to run SSMS2007 on a modern Windows system here.

Hello Admin. Honestly I don't have any thoughts, tips or tricks for that, but if it may be helpful, I'm running SSMS2007 Collector Edition on Windows 8.1 with absolutely no problems of compatibility whatsoever, no lags, no crashes, everything just fine. Wish this is helpful and good work to the team :) 8)

I run it on Windows 7 64bit without any problems at all. I have the entire program loaded on a flash drive, I plug it in and it runs.

Windows 7 (now Windows 10), both were 64bit OS'. Runs fine (with one known caveat), my AMD GPU was always a little flakey, but there's forum posts here on this very topic. In short, it's my understanding that it's AMD's implementation of OpenCL (as opposed to OpenGL) that is the issue.
I moved back to an nVidia card and absolutely ZERO issues since.

I'm running SSMS 2007 on Windows 7 64 bit.
GTX 550Ti 2 GB VRAM.
8 GB RAM
Quad core 3.2 GHZ
No problems whatsoever!!

I have windows 10 on a HP pavilion DV6 and unfortunately I keep getting an error message saying GL_ARB_Shader_objects or something like that I get the sound to start it but noting after that and it stops working, It was working on the same machine with windows 7

Crease,
Try updating your Graphics drivers, you could just be using the generic drivers following the windows 10 upgrade.

For me, it works fine on Windows 10 64 bit.
I had to assign macro keys to my joystick movements because my X-52 pro wont work in this setup. yes, I did check the settings in SSM2007. ::)

Windows 10 64bit here with no problems. Using a GTX1070 latest Nvidia drivers. Using a Saitek X-52 (not Pro) works fine.

Hi i thought i would post as i have a unique config.
I have a Mac Pro "Quad Core" 2.8 (2010/Nehalem) running Windows 10 via Boot camp
Running at 64bit and 24gb Ram with a EFI flashed AMD R9 200 series with 4gb Ram. USB Focusright 2i2 sound card external.
So i have recently reinstalled SSM 2007 in boot camp and have, to date, only minor issues which are sound related and this is probably driver or the fact im using a music interface for sound.
Otherwise graphics run ok and the game is sound as a pound.
Hope this helps for those mac people

I am upgrading, but believe it or not on vista 32 bit I know kinda old school.. But SSM 2007 works flawless not crashes, glitches, nothing... But can't just reformat this pc use it for my webserver, and some gaming purpose SSM being one.
But yeah getting a new rig, will let you know how it works, but hey should be proud me being on vista 32bit works again flawless... :)

Did you repair it ? I have the same issues ( sound , no video ) although, on occasion, fiddling with Task Manager brings it on and it runs ( performed a landing, and other areas of the menu, but good luck get it running again, although, sometimes...

You should probably start with verifying that you have the latest driver installed correctly for your video card.

Going to try and install this on my system, been a LONG time since I played it last. Wasn’t aware it would run on newer machines. Just need some advice on where and how to install it best.
My system:
Win 10
I9 9900k
2080ti GeForce
Ssd
Standard hard drive

So I cant save a user or name a save file. Locks up and crashes. I click the replace user and it locks. Same on save game. Few seconds later ***CRASH***
No error, no report. Just CTD

Has been a while, since i posted something here.
If youd want to, i could test ssm2007 on an IMAC 29 2019 i9-CPU with Radeon Pro 580X and windows 11.
